We will have a virtual discussion of various virtual machine options including (but not limited to): VirtualBox, VMWare, VMWareFusion, Parallels, and Hyper-V. To the extent possible, various members will demonstrate  their installed option and how they use it and set it up.

We will try to cover at least these issues:

  • Which ones do we use and how for ourselves. Pros and cons of various options.
  • Which ones do we use and for what purpose for our clients.
  • Are we planning to add one soon?
  • Hardware and software requirements
  • Price
  • How do the possibility of Virtual machines change our recommendations and/or sales of hardware? Are we suggesting or getting more RAM or larger drives because we expect to use Virtual machines?
