Jay Allen has a BS in Chemistry from Portland State and a MBA fromOregon State. He has had several roles in the telecommunicationsindustry, including IT Operations, business consulting, marketing andsales. In his role as a technical consultant he has worked with most ofthe major telecommunications equipment manufactures around the world.His current area of practice is in designing, building and operatinghighly available, highly scalable, VOIP solutions. Jay is a contributorto the Carrier Grade Linux (CGL) standards group. While at IBM, Jay wasa contributor and officer of the Service Availability Forum (SAF).
